Hi Everyone!
First, I wanted to thank you all for reading this blog. I am really excited to share my experiences with you as I travel Asia for the first time! I am lucky enough to travel with three other veterinary students for the first part of my trip - through Beijing, Chiang Rai, and Bangkok - and then meet up with one of the doctors at OSU (Dr. Inpanbutr) in Chiang Mai to work with various exotic animals.
I am going to keep this entry nice and short, since we didn't do much exploring today. It was all airplanes, all day. And let me tell you..... it was CHAOTIC! I'm not going to get into the nitty-gritty details, but it involved booking three sets of plane flights leaving from Beijing, and canceling two of them at the last moment.
Here is a note to the wise: when traveling through China..... even if you think you don't need a visa, just do yourself a favor and apply for one anyway. It will make your life a lot less hectic :)
